Kaarisilta Biennale Goes Green 2021 – English

Kaarisilta Biennale Exhibition will be held in the summer 2021 for the fifth time. This time the event has an Environmental theme. Kaarisilta Biennale Goes Green Exhibition is on display at Ersta Manor and in it´s surroundings in Lahti and in Gallery Art Kaarisilta in Helsinki  2.7.-1.8.2021. Outdoor part of the Exhibition will be open for the public till the end of September.

The theme of the exhibition invites artists to reflect on their own relationship to nature and environment, both built and natural. Nature and environment can serve as the subject of a work in many ways. The city of Lahti has been chosen as the European Capital of Environment for year 2021. Kaarisilta Biennale is involved in the implementation of the Environment year.  Therefore we want to invite especially European Artists to apply and to give our Exhibition wider view of the theme. We hope the theme inspires free thinking and new perspectives.

Kaarisilta Biennale´s purpose is to present Art and Artists extensively and to gather together Finnish and international Artists and their networks. Exhibition aims also to emphasize the meaning of Outsider Art in the Art World and  to enable artistic dialog between different artists and organizations.
